What is a Home Inspection?
A home inspection offers a comprehensive inspection of the
home and attached garage. It covers the structure including
crawl spaces, attic, exterior, roof, plumbing, electrical,
heating and cooling, and the interior. It is non-intrusive
but thorough. It is designed to to be an overview documenting
facts that you will be provided with at
the end of the inspection. The report provided is designed
to meet all required standards issued by ASHI
(American Society of Home Inspectors). The report is separated
into major sections that follow an understandable checklist
format and is easily read. Next is a summary section covering
items not operating, major concerns, potential safety hazards,
and deferred cost items. Defferred cost items are items that have reached
or are reaching their normal life expectancy or show indications
that may require repairs or replacement within the next five
years. Necessary photographs and diagrams are included with all reports with Infrared scans available for an additional fee.
